Writing for the web is all about storytelling, as indeed every form of writing is. It’s about reeling in the reader into your narrative until they can see themselves as part of it. It’s not about tricks or gimmicky slights of hand, it’s more about conveying genuine sentiment that resonates with the exact people you are trying to reach. In that sense, when a piece of content is written, it should not, must not, be for everyone.
It should be for those few who can decode the sentiment behind it, and add themselves to that story. This is my style of writing. Whether it be technical or non-technical writing, I approach every writing project as an opportunity to tell a story. Here are two quotes from one of my favorite thinkers, Seth Godin that sum up my view of writing for the web:
“People do not buy goods and services. They buy relations, stories and magic.”
“Marketing is no longer about the stuff that you make but about the stories you tell.”
As a versatile
writer storyteller with a blend of other skills such as project management, marketing, etc., I’m able to undertake a broad range of tasks with relative ease. Here, I’ll highlight some of the content services I have offered in the past and which I have a high proficiency in providing. This list is in no way exhaustive so if your content needs do not fall in any of these buckets, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
